Description
Moru, whose full name is Morodashi, is a supporting character in xxxHOLiC. She is one of two twin-like girls who reside in Yūko Ichihara's wish-granting shop, alongside her counterpart Maru (Marudashi). The two are described as soulless beings, likely created by Yūko, Clow Reed, or a combination of both, and they cannot leave the shop under any circumstances. If they attempt to do so, their bodies would disintegrate.
In terms of personality, Moru is energetic, cheerful, and often childlike. She and Maru frequently speak in unison or finish each other's sentences, and they act as a cheering squad for Yūko and later for Kimihiro Watanuki. They are playful and tend to tease Watanuki, distracting him from his chores and dragging him into Yūko's schemes. Despite their mischievous behavior, they show genuine concern for both Yūko and Watanuki. In one instance, when Watanuki collapsed after a disturbing encounter, Moru and Maru sensed something was wrong and dragged him as far as the shop's gates could allow, passing him to Shizuka Dōmeki for help.
