TV-Series
Description
Annette Pierce is the owner of the Cait Sith Cafe and a former Sweeper who has since retired from active bounty hunting to run her establishment. She is a woman with short blonde hair and grey eyes, typically dressed in a black top, blue jeans, and a green apron with a red headband. Her birthday is May 17th.

As a personality, Annette is notably calm and reasonable, often approaching situations with a level head rather than jumping to immediate conclusions or trust. She possesses a witty and sarcastic side to her demeanor. While she usually maintains her composure, she is capable of losing her temper when she feels a critical point needs to be proven. This was demonstrated when she sharply argued with Sven Vollfied over his decision to distance himself from Eve, asserting that Train Heartnet understood the girl better than Sven did.

Annette's primary motivation stems from her established role as an information dealer. Having built a vast intelligence network during her days as an active Sweeper, she now puts this web of contacts to good use, providing valuable information to other Sweepers. Her cafe serves as a front for this operation, a safe and neutral location where she can conduct business and assist old colleagues.

In the story, her role is largely that of a supportive ally and information broker, particularly for Sven and Train. She appears early in the narrative when the pair enter her cafe, and she is present when Rinslet Walker first approaches them for help. Her establishment also becomes a place of refuge. After Eve is severely wounded in a fight with the Tao user Durham Glaster, Sven asks Annette to care for the girl, and she is later asked again to look after Eve while Sven and Train pursue other matters. Annette is not without her own dangers, as she herself was once attacked by Glaster while he was searching for information on the Black Cat.

Key relationships define much of her involvement in the plot. Her friendship with Sven is longstanding, and she frequently aids him by providing crucial information and maintaining his hideouts. However, their relationship is not without conflict; she is not afraid to voice her disagreements with his decisions, such as warning him against trusting a suspicious client or criticizing him for trying to shirk his responsibilities toward Eve. She also shares a rapport with Train, whom she knows through Sven, and she plays a part in supporting the group's overall dynamic by offering a safe harbor and her expertise.

Annette shows development in her consistent role as a voice of reason and a stabilizing figure. While she does not undergo a dramatic personal transformation, her character is defined by her transition from an active fighter to a strategic supporter. Her development is shown in how she adapts her skills from her Sweeper days into a new, equally vital function as an information broker and protector, often taking a maternal or advisory stance toward the younger or more reckless characters.

Regarding notable abilities, Annette's primary strength is not physical combat but her extensive information network, which she built during her time as a Sweeper. This network allows her to gather and disseminate intelligence, making her an invaluable asset to those who seek her out. While she is a former Sweeper and thus presumably has some combat experience, her primary function in the story is as a knowledgeable ally and provider of resources rather than as a front-line fighter. Her abilities lie in her connections, her calm judgment, and her willingness to speak frankly to her friends when necessary.
