Description
Plesio is a demonic, sentient mask that appears as a major antagonist in the animated adaptation of Devil May Cry. It takes the form of an ordinary-looking mask, which allows it to be found and handled by unsuspecting people, and it offers to grant the wish of anyone who picks it up. Its first shown target is Kerry Márquez, a fisherman, and its encounters with humans follow a deceptive pattern.
Although Plesio appears to provide a service, the wishes it grants are not what they seem. In truth, the wishes are fulfilled through killing, with the deaths occurring by the hands of the people who made the requests. This cruelty is central to its personality.
