Description
In the world of Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibōken, Blass is an elderly monster who serves as a pivotal figure in the early life of the protagonist, Dai. Residing on Delmurin Island, also known as the Island of Monsters, Blass is the adoptive grandfather of Dai, having raised the human boy from infancy in an environment almost entirely populated by creatures. His home is a sanctuary for monsters who were freed from the evil will of a dark lord, and Blass was personally entrusted by the hero Avan to watch over this island and protect it from harm. Avan spent a considerable amount of time, as long as a year, teaching Blass various sword techniques and magical arts so he could effectively fulfill this guardian role.
