Description
Meido, alias Pluto, serves as a designer in the Animal Design Department, distinguished by her punk-rock Lolita aesthetic. Her wardrobe blends mint-green garments embroidered with skull patterns, a cinched waist accentuated by a pink-and-black bow, and layered black petticoats that flare into a voluminous skirt. She pairs black thigh-high stockings with chunky combat boots, while her vibrant pink hair spills into twin ponytails tied with green and black ribbons. A pen topped with an eyeball ornament and a plush modeled after an anomalocarid frequently accompany her.

Formerly part of the Plant Department, Meido rose to prominence after divine authorities swiftly endorsed her carnivorous flora designs. Her unconventional approach—equating "cuteness" with grotesque or morbid elements—clashed with the Plant Department’s ethos, prompting her relocation to the Animal Division.

Her animal designs deliberately highlight unsettling biological mechanisms: venomous secretions, parasitic behaviors, and cannibalistic instincts. Examples range from koalas adapted to consume their own waste to sharks whose embryos devour siblings in utero, alongside poison dart frogs, tarsiers with oversized eyes, eerily bioluminescent footballfish, and hermaphroditic snails. Each project reflects her belief that macabre traits enhance an organism’s charm.

Peers acknowledge her unwavering fixation on dark themes as integral to her identity, frequently juxtaposing her definition of "adorable" with conventional ideals. Though collaborative, she injects rivalry into team dynamics, crafting predatory species to test colleagues’ designs. Despite her grim creative focus, she remains a reliable contributor to both commissioned assignments and personal ventures, balancing professionalism with her distinctive artistic vision.
