Description
Momotaro Tagawajo is a professional race car driver and a central antagonist in the anime Capeta. He is introduced as a member of the Kamata Angels team, the very team that the protagonist Capeta aspires to join. Momotaro possesses a highly aggressive and competitive driving style, making him a formidable opponent on the track. His fierce will to win often pushes him to take risks that put his own safety in jeopardy. Initially, he treats Capeta with harshness and dismissiveness, frequently belittling the boy’s skills and discouraging him from pursuing professional racing. Despite this difficult relationship, Momotaro gradually evolves into both a rival and a mentor figure for Capeta; their on-track battles push each other to their limits, and through these encounters both characters learn from each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Momotaro is a practical and detail‑oriented racer, meticulously preparing for each race by studying the track and his vehicle. He has a strong sense of duty toward his team and is willing to sacrifice personal glory for the group’s benefit. Over the course of the story, his rivalry with Capeta drives much of the plot, and his intense competitiveness and complex personality make him one of the series’ most memorable characters.
