Description
Dallas Genoard is the son of a wealthy Newark family and the older brother of Eve Genoard, though he bears little resemblance to the dignified image such a background might suggest. He is a young man of average height with chestnut brown hair and dark grey eyes, and his expression is most often seen with furrowed brows, giving him a perpetually angry or sullen look that only softens in the presence of his younger sister. His typical attire consists of a mulberry jacket worn over a pink shirt, paired with suspenders and brown trousers.

In terms of personality, Dallas is defined by a short temper, impulsiveness, and a pronounced tendency toward violence. He is quick to take offense and holds long-term grudges, acting in a self-centered manner that prioritizes his own desires over any sense of right and wrong. Despite coming from a wealthy family, he is described as uneducated and possesses little to no work ethic; he has never earned money through legitimate means, preferring instead to steal or pawn off family possessions. He has no scruples about using other people for his own benefit, viewing most individuals solely in terms of how they can serve his purposes. The one significant exception to this is his sister Eve, who is described as his Achilles' Heel. Dallas sincerely wants to protect her and ensure her happiness, and he is fiercely protective of her, reacting with fury toward anyone who might threaten her. However, this singular kindness has its limits, as he once planned to manipulate Eve out of her share of the family inheritance for his own gain before the family fortune was stolen.

Dallas's background is marked by a deep resentment toward his father, Raymond, and his older brother, Jeffrey, who excluded him from the family business, believing him to be both too young and incompetent. This bitterness festered over time, leading him to leave home as a teenager and roam the streets of New York, where he engaged in brawls and ran with a small gang of like-minded delinquents. His poor relationship with his father and brother reached a dark peak in October 1930, when he learned of his grandfather's death. Displaying no grief, he returned to the family mansion with a plan to murder his father and frame Jeffrey for the crime, thereby seizing control of the inheritance for himself. His scheme was derailed that very night when a pair of thieves made off with the family fortune from the safe, an event that forced him to return to his life of petty crime in Little Italy.

Dallas's primary role in the events of 1930 stems from his violent and impulsive nature. After he and his gang brutally assaulted a man and stole a crate, they became entangled with members of the Martillo and Gandor families. Following a series of confrontations, he and his three companions were captured, and the alchemist Szilard Quates had his homunculus, Ennis, inject them with an incomplete version of the immortality elixir. When one of his men was devoured by Szilard, the terrified Dallas was forced into a bargain: steal back the crate containing the elixir in exchange for the chance to enact revenge on Firo Prochainezo, a young Camorra member who had humiliated him. Though they managed to gun down several Gandor family members, their success was short-lived. They were apprehended by the Gandor brothers, who, unable to kill the now-immortal thugs, sealed Dallas and his two surviving cronies inside oil drums filled with cement and threw them into the depths of the Hudson River.

This punishment led to his disappearance, which became a central concern for his sister Eve, who spent years searching for him. Dallas remained submerged at the bottom of the river for over two years, trapped in a cycle of continuous drowning. In September 1933, his barrel was retrieved from the river by an organization known as the Larvae, who freed him from the cement for their own purposes. After being rescued, his thoughts immediately returned to violence and revenge, vowing to kill everyone he held responsible for his suffering, including Szilard, Ennis, Firo, and the Gandor brothers. He was eventually reunited with his sister Eve in September 1933, though his plans for the future remained focused on accruing money and settling old scores. By February 1935, he had scraped together enough money to attend a casino party hosted by the Runorata Family, intending to make a substantial profit through gambling.

As a result of the incomplete immortality elixir injected into him by Szilard Quates, Dallas possesses a notable ability to regenerate from virtually any physical injury, including fatal gunshot wounds to the head. This makes him nearly impossible to kill through conventional means, a fact that led the Gandor brothers to choose imprisonment at the bottom of a river instead of outright execution. Aside from this unnatural resilience, he has no special skills or abilities, relying instead on violence, intimidation, and the support of his small gang to achieve his goals.
