Youm intimidated the count's overseer, Rommel, into dissolving the contract magic binding him and most comrades, ultimately securing Rommel's loyalty. During the expedition, Youm encountered Rimuru Tempest. Seeking to improve human-monster relations, Rimuru selected Youm to publicly take credit for defeating the Orc Lord. Initially hesitant, Youm agreed after witnessing Tempest's harmonious community of diverse monsters, marking a pivotal shift in his path. Physically, Youm possesses average height and a well-toned, sun-bronzed physique. His messy purple-gray hair often falls loosely over his right eye, and his face is considered handsome. His early attire consisted of a practical long beige coat with rolled-up sleeves and a dark maroon fur-lined collar, a black shirt, loose tan sash, dark pants, and sturdy tan boots with gloves. As a hero and later king, he adopted dignified dark brown armor featuring green and red patterns, crafted from giant armored spider exoskeletons for lightweight durability and magic resistance. Personality-wise, Youm exhibited a commanding presence and natural leadership among outlaws, masking underlying kindness. He maintained a relaxed, grounded, and approachable demeanor despite his authority.
