Description
Maria is a central character in Hayate the Combat Butler. She serves as Nagi Sanzenin’s personal maid and former home tutor within the vast Sanzenin household. Her background is marked by mystery: she is an orphan who was found as an infant next to a statue of the Virgin Mary at a church, which is how she received her name. No last name is known for her, and her birthday, December 24, was assigned as the day she was discovered. She is seventeen years old.
Maria’s personality is defined by a striking maturity that far exceeds her age, often causing those around her to speak of her as if she is older, a fact she strongly dislikes.
