Description
Kyōko Okonogi is the younger sister of the protagonist Yuko Okonogi, commonly called Yasako. She is a young, energetic, and highly curious child who often stumbles into danger because of her fearless and impulsive nature. Her boundless enthusiasm frequently drags her family into minor chaos, especially as she accompanies the family's virtual pet dog Densuke on many of her adventures. One of her most distinctive traits is her current fixation on the word "poop," which she habitually shouts while pointing at people or objects of interest, a behavior that serves as a running source of comic relief.

Motivationally, Kyōko is driven by simple childhood desires: play, exploration, and companionship. She has no grand personal agenda and does not actively participate in the central mysteries of the digital world. Instead, her role in the story is largely that of an innocent catalyst. Her accidental wanderings into restricted or dangerous augmented-reality zones often force the older characters, particularly Yasako, to act quickly to protect her. Her presence raises the emotional stakes, as her vulnerability highlights the real-world consequences of the digital dangers the children face.

In terms of relationships, Kyōko is closely bonded with her sister Yasako, whom she looks up to and depends on. She is also the granddaughter of Megabaa, the owner of the local candy shop and leader of the Coil Cyberinvestigation Agency, though Kyōko is too young to be involved in the agency's work. Her most constant companion is Densuke, the family's loyal virtual dog, with whom she plays and explores. She has no significant rivalries or friendships with the other children.

Throughout the series, Kyōko undergoes little personal development; she remains consistently playful and innocent from beginning to end. Her character does not experience a dramatic arc, but her unchanging nature serves as a touchstone of normality and childhood joy amid increasingly strange and serious events.

Notable abilities include a knack for noticing digital anomalies or Illegals that older, more focused characters overlook. Her untrained perception allows her to spot things in the augmented-reality environment that others dismiss, often acting as an early warning system for the group. Beyond that, she has no hacking skills or technical expertise; her strengths lie entirely in her boundless curiosity and her role as a grounding presence for her family.
