Description
Hebraska is an Exorcist affiliated with the European Branch of the Black Order, having served the organization for roughly one hundred years since its establishment. Her role is highly specialized and non-combative, as she functions as the keeper of all recovered Innocence shards and the guardian of a mysterious artifact known as the Cube. This Cube, which is also her Innocence, contains ancient instructions for defeating the Millennium Earl. Due to her parasitic-type Innocence, her physical form has been completely transformed. Her body is massive and appears to be composed of countless, wispy, hair-like tendrils that she can manipulate. Only a portion of her face, including her nose, lips, and chin, remains human in appearance. Her eyes are not visible, and her body is now essentially a construct of Innocence light, as her original physical form degraded long ago. Because of her size, equipment like lifts and elevated platforms are required for others to interact with her.

Hebraska speaks in a slow and measured manner, often with noticeable pauses. Despite this deliberate speech pattern, she is highly intelligent and perceptive. She cares deeply for the members of the Order she has befriended, such as Komui Lee, and is fiercely loyal to her duty. However, this loyalty does not mean she blindly follows orders; she has been shown to disagree with the methods of the Black Order's higher authorities, particularly those of the Central Hall, which she dislikes. She carries a profound sense of shame regarding her past, which includes a tragic history of having killed members of her own family or clan. This past is used to manipulate and pressure her by figures like Malcolm C. Lvellie, who hints that she has a blood relation to his family.

Hebraska's primary motivation is the preservation and management of Innocence until compatible users, known as Accommodators, can be found. She is dedicated to the Order's mission and is willing to sacrifice her own existence to protect both the Innocence and her comrades. This is demonstrated when she pleads with Komui to evacuate and take the Innocence shards from her body during a devastating attack by a level four Akuma, an enemy she has no known offensive abilities to fight. Her role in the story is crucial for testing new Exorcists and providing prophetic insights. She is the one who examines Allen Walker upon his arrival at the Order, using her tendrils to probe his body and measure his synchronization rate with his Innocence. During this examination, she prophesies that Allen will become the "Destroyer of Time," a prediction whose meaning is initially unclear. She also confirms that Cross Marian is no longer an Accommodator for his Innocence, Judgment. Beyond assessment, her body physically stores the many pieces of Innocence recovered in the field in 109 separate slots until new Accommodators are found for each.

Hebraska's key relationships are with the Black Order's leadership and its Exorcists. She has a friendly rapport with Komui Lee, who affectionately nicknames her Hebra, and she enjoys chatting with him. Her relationship with Malcolm C. Lvellie is far more tense and fraught with painful history, as he uses her past tragedy and family legacy to coerce her compliance. Her development throughout the story is subtle but significant. After the attack on headquarters, it is revealed that she can shrink herself down to the size of the Cube itself in order to be moved, as her enormous form is otherwise immobile. This transformation underscores that her appearance is merely a construct of Innocence light, containing her soul and mind.

Hebraska's notable abilities all stem from her parasitic-type Innocence, which is called the Cube or Stone Box. She can extend her body's tendrils to non-invasively probe the body of an Exorcist, allowing her to examine their Innocence directly. Through this, she can determine an individual's synchronization rate and even sense hidden potential, such as when she senses someone exceeds the 100 percent synchronization rate threshold from a great distance. Her primary function is to hold and protect Innocence, storing shards within her body until they are needed. While she is technically capable of destroying Akuma like any Exorcist, she has never been shown to possess or use any form of offensive attack.
