Description
Alkion Fama is a central character from the anime Geisters - Fractions of the Earth, serving as a member of the Geisters, an elite anti-creature special unit directly under the command of the Yuno family. He holds the rank of Lieutenant within this organization.

Alkion's background is marked by significant hardship. He spent a difficult childhood in the slums of De Beers City, where he was the primary breadwinner for his family, caring for his ailing mother. The identity of his father is never fully revealed, but it is strongly implied that Alkion was the illegitimate son of an aristocrat, a fact that led to him being ostracized and bullied by his peers when he spoke of it. The death of his mother, who was his only family, from her illness was a profound trauma that he witnessed firsthand, and this event deeply distorted his personality. He felt abandoned by the world and developed a growing hatred for the nobles, including his absent father, which evolved into a deep-seated inferiority complex and hostility.

In terms of personality, Alkion is presented as outgoing and hot-tempered, a stark contrast to his comrade Dean Honos. He possesses a strong desire for success and fame, which fuels many of his actions. This ambition is closely tied to his traumatic past and his need to prove his own worth, a need that manifests as a powerful inferiority complex towards Dean, who comes from a more privileged background. While he followed his captain, Leon, like an older brother, he struggles with feelings of resentment when others are promoted ahead of him.

Alkion's role in the story is deeply tied to his relationships and his tragic arc. He has known Dean Honos since childhood, and this history forms the basis for a fraught rivalry. After Captain Leon is killed, Alkion is deeply upset when Dean is appointed as the new commander instead of himself. His trajectory darkens considerably when he becomes involved in the testing of a powerful Biosuit, a biological weapon led by Eresia Yuno. The side effects of the Biosuit are severe, causing physical and psychological damage, and it is during these tests that Alkion begins to lose control, seeing hallucinations of his deceased mother and succumbing to his past trauma.

His desire for recognition makes him vulnerable to manipulation. Eresia Yuno, the developer of the Biosuit, singles him out as a test subject, feeding his ambition and his inferiority complex to turn him into her henchman. This leads to a significant conflict with Dean, as Alkion's actions become increasingly reckless, prioritizing killing creatures over the safety of civilians and even his own comrades. Eventually, after falling under Eresia's complete control, he is upgraded to a Megasuit. This prolonged use of the Biosuit accelerates a process of creatureization, causing him to lose his humanity and his ability to speak normally, reduced to little more than animalistic howls. By the time Eresia fuses with a being called Genesis and upgrades him to a Giga suit, Alkion has fully transformed into a robotic, creature-like being, a hollow shell consumed by the hatred and inferiority that defined his final human moments.

Alkion’s notable abilities are derived from his use of the Biosuit, a piece of biological weaponry that grants him superhuman strength and combat capabilities. In his early testing, he is able to kill a creature with his armored arm while in a rage. As he is further corrupted, his suit is upgraded to a Megasuit and eventually a Giga suit, which enhances his power but at the cost of his remaining humanity, turning him into a mindless but formidable weapon.
