Description
Kyle Rondart is an artificial being created by the sorcerer Fei Wang Reed to serve as an agent in the collection of Princess Sakura’s scattered memory feathers across dimensions. He possesses a calm, well-mannered surface personality that makes him appear compassionate and reliable, a facade he employs to blend in and gain trust. Underneath, he is coldly manipulative, entirely devoted to his master’s plan, and willing to exploit and harm innocent people without remorse.

His first notable appearance occurs in Jade Country, where he introduced himself as Doctor Kyle, a caring physician assisting a village stricken by the mysterious disappearances of its children. The truth, revealed during the group’s investigation, is that Kyle was the orchestrator of those disappearances. Through hypnosis, he sent the very children he treated to an old castle and forced them to excavate in search of one of Sakura’s feathers. Once exposed, he dropped his benevolent act and openly attacked the travelers, aiming to kill Sakura and claim the feather for himself.

Following this defeat, Kyle reappeared in Piffle World as the same individual rather than an alternate incarnation. He correctly anticipated that Syaoran and his companions would assume he was a different version of the person they had encountered before, which allowed him to operate in the background and attempt to secure another feather. Though his presence there was less direct, it reaffirmed his role as a persistent agent tracking the protagonists’ movements across worlds.

In the final confrontation, Kyle was deployed as a decoy, disguised as Fei Wang Reed, and engaged Syaoran, Fai, and Kurogane in battle. The fight was brief; he was overpowered and slashed, the disguise shattering to reveal his real, mortally wounded form. His death effectively functioned as a sacrificial shield for his creator, marking the end of his role as an expendable tool.

Kyle’s motivations are not personal but wholly programmed. As a creation of Fei Wang Reed, he exists only to obey and further his master’s goal of gathering the feathers. He exhibits no inner conflict, ambition for independence, or moral misgivings about his deceptions. His key relationship is with Fei Wang Reed, for whom he acts without question, and he operates alongside fellow artificial servant Xing Huo, though their interactions are minimal. For the main characters, he is a recurring obstacle whose gentle mask briefly tests their judgment before they learn to recognize his true nature.

His notable abilities center on psychological manipulation through hypnosis, a skill he used to control the Jade Country children without their knowledge. He also possesses medical knowledge that served as his cover, along with the capability to physically alter his appearance for disguise, as shown when he impersonated Fei Wang Reed. Despite these talents, he is not a formidable combatant on his own and relies on deception and his master’s direction rather than raw power.
