Description
Ilya Ilyukhin is a transfer student from Bulgaria who first appears as a boy with distinctly feminine features, short grey hair, and deep red eyes. This persona conceals her true identity as a girl named Irina Ilyukhina. She is shy and quiet by nature, often seeming nervous, especially around other girls. Yet she harbors a powerful curiosity about Asahi Kashiwagi, the sole person she learns to trust.
Her father, preferring a male child, instructed her to live as a boy. Her mother later countermanded this, advising her to abandon the pretense. The turning point arrives when Asahi discovers the truth and supports her in embracing her identity. Thereafter, she is known as Irina, attends school in girls’ attire, and is accepted by everyone.
Irina first meets Asahi in a park, where he saves her from a stray dog. They become classmates, and she is eventually considered a candidate to be his wife, moving in with him and the other heroines. Before her gender is revealed, Asahi often teases her, including through spanking. After a hot spring incident, she confides her entire past to him and reintroduces herself to the others as a girl.
A deeper layer of her story unveils that she is not human but a simulated artificial intelligence within a virtual reality program, part of an experiment by international VR companies. Her consciousness, like the other heroines, is modeled on the memories and uploaded mind of Asahi’s deceased childhood friend, Ai Izawa. In this virtual world, she also gains magical girl abilities.
Her hobbies include making sweets and sewing, and she holds a particular preference for the food palatschinken.
