Description
Dverg is a nineteen-year-old character with curly purple hair and blue eyes, serving as an ES member for the Galactic Organization of Trade and Tariffs (GOTT) where her class is ranked as S. She operates in partnership with Alv, and her personality stands in sharp contrast to her partner's more volatile nature, being notably calm and composed. Dverg places significant emphasis on proper communication and adheres strictly to principles of etiquette in her interactions with others, and she generally dislikes unnecessary disputes or conflicts.
Dverg's role in the story is deeply intertwined with her partner Alv, whom she supports both professionally and personally. Working as an ES member, she secretly assists Alv in carrying out a personal revenge plan against the Nobles, the ruling elite who control GOTT. Her actions take a dramatic turn when she takes advantage of a chaotic attack on GOTT headquarters by other ES members to confront Director Ryumiel. Using her unique abilities, Dverg absorbs Ryumiel's appearance and powers before killing her. Following the disappearance of Director Eclipse, Dverg assumes the position of GOTT director herself to continue aiding Alv's aims.
The most significant revelation about Dverg comes late in the story, when after being severely injured in battle, it is disclosed that she is actually Alv's biological mother. This revelation recontextualizes her entire relationship with Alv, explaining her deep commitment to supporting her partner's dangerous quest for revenge and her willingness to take extreme measures, including murder and assuming a leadership position through deception. In Alv's early life, Dverg had been absent, leaving her daughter at an adoption center on a distant planet, an abandonment that fueled Alv's anger toward the Nobles who controlled GOTT. Dverg eventually returned for Alv and brought her to GOTT, where she taught her daughter to control her emerging abilities.
Dverg's development arc culminates in tragedy and a complicated form of reconciliation. In the end, Alv ultimately abandons her mother while attempting to destroy humanity by merging with the supercomputer Dekarion. After Alv is defeated by the combined efforts of other ES members, Dverg survives and takes action to revive the deceased ES member Eclair. Following this, Dverg and Alv depart together to roam the universe, leaving their past as GOTT operatives behind.
In terms of abilities, Dverg possesses two named powers that function in opposition to one another. Her primary ability is called Absorb, which allows her to take on the appearance and abilities of other objects or individuals, though this power can only be used when she is together with Alv. There is a time limit to this ability, and any absorbed powers will gradually fade over time. Her complementary ability is Transmission, which has the reverse effect of Absorb, enabling her to restore any target that has been deformed or altered by her absorption ability back to its original state.
