Yuta Kondo, better known as Konta, is a member of the Tokyo Gantz Team who takes part in the Buddhist Temple mission. Before being pulled into the game, he was known as DJ Konta in the Shibuya district. He is a close friend of Tomao, another member of the team, and the two regularly operate together.

Konta approaches combat with a direct and aggressive style. At the temple, he immediately engages the smaller alien enemies without first equipping his Gantz suit, managing to defeat several of them through his own efforts. This reveals a bold and capable nature, willing to jump into danger without hesitation. Later in the mission, he retrieves his suit and teams up with Tomao to confront the powerful boss alien. Despite their combined courage and effort, the boss alien quickly overpowers them, killing both by slicing them apart.

Konta's role in the story is brief but effective. His initial success against weaker enemies demonstrates the potential strength and fighting spirit of the hunters. However, his swift and brutal death at the hands of the primary target underscores the extreme lethality and sudden escalation of the missions the participants are forced to endure. His development is cut short immediately following this display of promise, cementing him as a cautionary example of the disposable nature of life within the Gantz game. His defining relationship is his friendship with Tomao, and their shared fate highlights the lack of sentimentality in their world. Konta is a young man with blonde hair.
