Description
Mugiyama, often referred to as Mugi-Chan, is a supporting character in the anime series Mezzo DSA. He operates a barber shop located on the ground floor of the building that houses the Danger Service Agency’s headquarters on its rooftop. This barber shop, however, serves as a front for his more illicit activities. Mugiyama is the leader of a black-market mercenary organization known as Black Scissors, which deals in illegal trade and contract killings. Despite his outwardly cheerful and seemingly harmless demeanor, often speaking in a sing-song voice and presenting himself as an agreeable person, his true nature is far more sinister. He exhibits a sadistic streak and is known for giving people the cut, a phrase that refers to his tendency to punish or eliminate those who displease him or fail in their tasks.
Mugiyama’s background as a barber is deliberately deceptive, masking his role as a criminal informant and underworld leader. He frequently acts as a source of information for the DSA, providing them with leads and intelligence, though his motivations are largely self-serving.
