Description
Klaus Daggats reigned as the "God of Fighting" from the Spiral Palace in Grazia. A former professional kickboxer now past his prime, he harbored a desperate desire to reclaim his lost youthful dominance. His advanced age created an unnerving presence, blending visible decline with an aura of lingering superiority, often emphasized by militaristic attire reminiscent of a military captain.
His driving motivation was a partnership with Dr. Zulowski, creator of the experimental "Rabbit" project for human weaponization, which caused subjects' eyes to turn red when enraged. Klaus sought to use the project's final "Drug for Berserker" (DFB) serum to artificially restore his former power and achieve god-like status. This ambition led him to inject the risky DFB, viewing it as his sole path back to glory.
The Spiral Palace functioned as his command center and a symbol of control. He recruited diverse warriors globally, assigning them to distinct thematic areas within the tower—including a shrine, a coliseum, a money vault, and a research lab. This structure reinforced his dominance over Grazia and became the battleground for challengers like Taito Masaki.
Manipulation and estrangement defined Klaus's personal bonds. His daughter, Gina Daggats, bitterly resented him, blaming Taito’s father and Dr. Zulowski for stealing her father away. Zulowski, in turn, exploited Klaus's obsession with rejuvenation to advance his own unethical research, forging a partnership rooted in mutual manipulation.
Klaus's reliance on the DFB culminated in a berserker transformation during the climax. Injecting himself triggered this final, self-destructive act, symbolizing his ultimate physical and moral degradation as the drug ravaged his body and mind, ultimately leading to the Spiral Palace's collapse and his demise.
