His personality appears friendly and approachable at first, masking a fundamentally dishonest and deceptive nature. Beri demonstrates willingness to employ betrayal and violence to achieve his objectives. Operating as a tradesman, Beri is accompanied by Palo Barrows, an anthropomorphic wolf beastman hired as a bodyguard for criminal activities like kidnapping and theft. His primary narrative unfolds across two key episodes. Learning of Caius and Kouichi’s search for the Raisa fruit, Beri approaches them. Though aware of the fruit’s unpleasant taste, he expresses curiosity about their motives, negotiates a trade agreement, accepts payment, and provides directions to a meeting location. As they depart, he ambiguously remarks on hoping Caius survives. At the meeting place, Beri reveals his betrayal, openly mocking Caius by declaring titans physically large but intellectually inferior. He announces his intent to eliminate Caius to trade directly with elves and reveals plans to sell Kouichi—identified as a rare species—to elves engaged in "particular pursuits" for substantial profit. Confident in his numerical advantage, Beri orders his hired beastmen to attack Caius. The plan fails when Caius defeats all assailants. Beri is last seen experiencing shock at this outcome before being physically struck by Caius.
