Laughing Bull is a nomadic Native American who lives on Mars with his son. He practices traditional Native American customs and speaks in a manner that often sounds cryptic to those who consult him. He is a kind and wise old shaman who serves as a spiritual guide and occasional informant for the bounty hunters Spike Spiegel and Jet Black.
His background is largely untold, but he is shown to be deeply connected to his heritage, living a simple life away from the sprawling Martian cities.
