TV-Series
Description
Hugin serves Odin as one of a pair of ravens in the Norse pantheon, consistently portrayed with distinctive white feathers contrasting Muninn's black plumage. Possessing human speech and over 4,000 years of life, they rank among the series' long-lived entities. Both ravens exhibit pride and a pronounced sense of superiority towards humanity, viewing humans as inferior; they freely express these views, leveraging their privileged status with Odin. However, this assertiveness fades when confronted by direct threats, revealing an underlying awareness of their physical vulnerability.
Hugin is present at critical divine gatherings, including the 2000 B.C. Gods' Council that decreed humanity's punishment through Thebes' destruction. During the modern Gods' Council voting on humanity's extinction, Hugin and Muninn confront Brunhilde for her interruption, demanding she withdraw as the matter concerns gods alone. Muninn expresses a desire to physically engage her, and both birds show frustration when ignored. Upon hearing Brunhilde's proposal for Ragnarök, they join other deities in dismissing the idea of humans defeating gods as implausible.
In the first Ragnarök round between Thor and Lü Bu, Hugin speculates Thor wields Mjölnir out of boredom to end the fight, while Muninn interprets it as respect for the human opponent. Both ravens react with visible disbelief when Lü Bu withstands Thor's Geirröd Hammer technique.
