TV-Series
Description
The character known as Anemone is the Italian name for Fuu Hououji, one of the three central heroines from the second story arc of the series. She is a 14-year-old junior high student attending a prestigious academic school, where she excels in mathematics and computer programming, with a career goal of becoming a systems engineer. Her family consists of her parents and an older sister named Kuu. In her free time, she participates in the archery club, enjoys reading books, and has a fondness for role-playing games.

Personality-wise, Fuu serves as the strategic center and voice of reason for her group of friends. She displays a calm and polite demeanor, often acting as the most mature and responsible member of the trio. However, she is also known for her blunt observational humor, frequently stating obvious truths in a way that can frustrate her more impulsive companions. Her intelligence is largely academic and logical, which makes her an excellent strategist and problem-solver, though she can sometimes lack street smarts. Despite her usual composure, she has moments of self-doubt, but she consistently finds the inner resolve to overcome these feelings and emerge stronger. She has strong morals and a deep sense of curiosity.

In battle, Fuu is the Magic Knight who controls the element of wind. Her magical abilities are primarily defensive and supportive in nature, focusing on healing and protection rather than pure offense. Her known spells include Winds of Healing for restoring allies, Winds of Protection for creating barriers, and Emerald Typhoon for offensive wind attacks. Her first weapon is a bow that reflects her skill from the archery club, but she later receives a massive sword called Escudo. This sword is magically light for her to wield but becomes impossibly heavy for anyone else to lift. She is also the pilot of the Rune God Windam, a giant entity resembling a four-winged bird.

Fuu develops a significant romantic relationship with Ferio, who is later revealed to be the brother of the missing Princess Emeraude. She meets him early in her journey, and their bond deepens over time. A key part of her emotional struggle in the second arc involves the guilt she feels for her role in the death of Ferio’s sister, but his feelings for her remain unwavering. During this second season, Fuu is captured by the rival nation of Fahren. While imprisoned, she uses her intelligence and archery skills to win a duel against the nation's ruler, Lady Aska. Instead of simply escaping, Fuu chooses to explain the tragic truth about what it means to be the Pillar of Cephiro, which causes Aska to reconsider her ambitions and ultimately leads to a friendship between the two.

Fuu’s character development sees her transition from an analytical and somewhat reserved observer to a person of deep emotional resilience. While she initially masks her grief following the traumatic events of the first arc, she learns to process her pain and becomes an advocate for changing the flawed system of her new world. By the conclusion of the second arc, her growth allows her to move past her guilt and embrace her future.
