Description
Panther, whose name is sometimes romanized as Panta, is one of the three Saber Dolls created to serve Faust, the ruler of Gartland, and she functions as the direct counterpart to Bloodberry among the heroines. Within Faust's group she acts as his pit bull, the most ambitious and aggressive of his combat marionettes, and she is always ready to defend his honor and pride at any cost. Her devotion is absolute because, like her fellow doll Luchs, she never knew Faust before he turned to evil; she has known only his cruel and ruthless side, and she serves him without question or regret. This makes her noticeably different from Tiger, who mourns the fact that she cannot restore Faust to the kind and gentle person he once was.

In personality, Panther is the strongest and most direct of the Saber Dolls. She prefers to charge blindly into battle and rely on overwhelming strength and weaponry rather than careful planning, making her the muscle of the group. If something needs to be broken, destroyed, or killed, she is happy to take care of it. She has little interest in working as part of a team and would rather fight alone than have to account for Tiger and Luchs during combat, viewing her fellow dolls as potential distractions in a fight.

In the story, Panther appears as the second Saber Doll introduced and serves as one of the main opponents of Otaru and his marionettes. She is the only Saber Doll who manages to genuinely hurt Otaru, throwing him around like a rag doll during an encounter that unexpectedly results in the awakening of Cherry. Her natural rival is Bloodberry, and the two eventually face each other directly once Bloodberry is awakened; before that point, Panther proves to be a formidable threat even to Lime.

Her combat style is notable for the variety of weapons at her disposal, which sets her apart from the other Saber Dolls, who typically rely on a single weapon or a single class of weapon. She can energize her hands so they become capable of cutting through almost anything, and she also carries a pair of electrical stilettos that can slice through nearly any material. Her most recognizable feature is the star-shaped eyepatch she wears over one eye. The eyepatch is not a simple fashion choice and does not hide a missing eye; she can see through it, and it doubles as a weapon that can fire a laser beam. In appearance, she is an adult female marionette with long blonde or yellow hair reaching to her waist and blue eyes.

Her development is limited compared to some of the other characters, largely because she has never known any version of Faust other than the evil one. As a result, she remains a loyal and unhesitating enforcer throughout her appearances, acting without doubt or remorse in defense of her master and embracing her role as the most destructive and direct force among Faust's Saber Dolls.
