Description
Hikozaemon Otaki, usually referred to simply as Otaki or Otaki-senpai, is a supporting character in the anime Oh My Goddess! who appears regularly as one of the senior members of the Nekomi Institute of Technology Motor Club. He is a college student in his twenties and serves as one of the club's co-directors alongside his inseparable companion Toraichi Tamiya. The two are presented as older students shaped by the free-spending, carefree attitudes of the 1980s bubble era, and their exaggerated behavior often makes them feel out of step with the more grounded world around them. Like several other Motor Club members, Otaki's surname follows the series' pattern of naming club regulars after well-known model manufacturers.
In appearance, Otaki is tall and muscular, with a long face, a square jawline, tanned skin, and dusty blonde hair styled in a punk fashion. He is almost never seen without dark sunglasses with round frames, which hide his eyes and reinforce his rough, laid-back image.
