Description
Gabu, alternatively named Chomp in certain regions, is a Triceratops and the primary dinosaur companion to Max Taylor. He emerged following a meteor crash in a forest, activated by Max using a Lightning stone and dinosaur card—an event initiating their enduring partnership.
Playful and affectionate, Gabu often expresses fondness through gentle nips at Max. Despite formidable combat prowess, he favors peaceful interactions with other dinosaurs and demonstrates unwavering loyalty to Max. He forges strong bonds with Ace (a Carnotaurus) and Paris (a Parasaurolophus), regularly collaborating with them in battles. His compact, chibi form conceals surprising strength, exemplified when flipping an alligator during a jungle excursion.
In combat, Gabu specializes in lightning-based techniques. His foundational move, Electric Charge, summons a lightning bolt to electrify his charge. He later masters Lightning Spear, Thunder Bazooka, and Plasma Anchor—the latter devised specifically to shatter Spectral Armor. He also executes fusion attacks like Thunder Storm Bazooka with Ace, merging wind and lightning to overwhelm adversaries such as Saurophaganax and Torvosaurus.
During the conflict against the Spectral Space Pirates, Gabu evolves significantly. Equipped with Dinotector Armor, he unleashes advanced techniques like Ultimate Thunder, channeling lightning to breach Spectral Armor—though agile foes like Cryolophosaurus evade it. He eventually deploys the superior Final Thunder to defeat Cryolophosaurus after initial setbacks.
