Asuka Tanii
Description
Asuka Tanii is a Japanese voice actress born on June 19, 1978, in Toyama Prefecture, Japan. She is affiliated with the talent agency Mausu Promotion. Her blood type is O. She graduated from the Voice Acting Research Department of the Tokyo Announce Academy in 1999. In 2000, she entered the training school of Ezaki Productions, which later became Mausu Promotion. She officially made her debut as a professional voice actress in 2001.
Her debut role was in the anime series Shiawase Sou no Okojo-san, where she voiced multiple characters including Hyaho, Miyu, Ruka, and Ruru. She landed her first lead role as the titular character in Yobarete Tobidete! Akubi-chan. She is well-recognized for her performance as Kiri Komori in Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei and its subsequent sequels, including Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou-Sensei, Zan Sayonara Zetsubō Sensei, and related OVAs.
She voiced the fairy Lulun in Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart and appeared in multiple Precure All Stars crossover films. Her other prominent anime roles include Gabu and Loa in Dinosaur King, Farin K. Ehrlichkeit and Lieze Aria in Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's, and Carmichael in Strain: Strategic Armored Infantry. She also had a recurring role as Yayoi Shimotsuki in Sgt. Frog.
Her most iconic and recurring video game role is Pamela Ibis in the Atelier series, starting with Mana Khemia: Alchemists of Al-Revis in 2007. She has also voiced characters in other games, such as Noah in the Galaxy Angel series, Eleanor in Everybody's Tennis, and Carol Anderson in Wild Arms: The Vth Vanguard.
Her work also extends to the dubbing of foreign films and television series. She has contributed to dramas and performed theme songs for some anime series.
