Description
Onsen-mark is a middle-aged male teacher at Tomobiki High School and a graduate of the school himself. He serves as the homeroom teacher of class 2-4, a group of students that has come to be known as the Classroom of Failure. His unusual name is a play on the Japanese word for hot spring, and his appearance reinforces this pun: he typically wears clothing decorated with hot spring symbols. He is described as having black hair cut to ear length and black eyes, and he lives alone in a shabby boarding house.
In terms of personality, Onsen-mark is earnest, serious, and deeply dedicated to his profession, but he is also perpetually frustrated and downtrodden.
