Michihiro Ikemizu is a Japanese actor and voice actor born on April 11, 1943, in Kanagawa Prefecture. He is a graduate of Waseda University. He is affiliated with Aoni Production, a major talent management agency. Ikemizu began his career in the 1960s, initially focusing on stage performances with a children's theater company before transitioning to voice acting, joining Aoni Production after a period with TheatrEcho.

Throughout his extensive career, Ikemizu has been known for his resonant and charismatic voice, often portraying cheerful and boisterous characters as well as villainous roles. He has also been active in tokusatsu (special effects) productions, frequently providing voices for monsters and heroes, and served as a voice double for the lead actor in the Kamen Rider series. Beyond performance, he holds the position of executive director of the Japan Actors' Union.

Ikemizu's filmography is vast and spans numerous iconic anime series. He is particularly well-known for several long-running roles. He voiced the hot springs-loving teacher Onsen-Mark in the various Urusei Yatsura television series, films, and OVAs. He also played the trigger-happy patrolman Isao Ohta in the Mobile Police Patlabor franchise, including its television series and movies. In the Kinnikuman series, he took on the roles of both Robin Mask and Super Phoenix.

His other notable anime roles include the villainous Akame in Ginga Nagareboshi Gin, Glenn "Thickhead" Groff in the film They Were 11, multiple characters in the Transformers franchises such as Sixshot in The Headmasters and Great Shot in Victory, and Detective Togama in Judo Sanka. He also played roles in a wide range of other series, including Dragon Ball, Fist of the North Star, Saint Seiya, and Detective Conan. In addition to anime, he voiced characters in numerous tokusatsu productions, most notably various monsters and even replacement voices for Kamen Rider No. 1 in the long-running Kamen Rider franchise. He also took on dubbing roles for foreign films and television series.

In recognition of his long-standing contributions and achievements in the voice acting industry, Michihiro Ikemizu was honored with the Merit Award at the 16th Seiyu Awards in 2022. His documented personal interests include sea fishing, and he holds several licenses, including one for operating small vessels.
