Hagakure Harara, older sibling to Kakugo Hagakure, received a Fortified Armor Shell from their father Oboro Hagakure. Both siblings were tasked with protecting civilians in post-apocalyptic Tokyo. Harara's Kasumi armor housed the malicious spirit of Mei Inukai, a woman whose infant son was sacrificed during the armor's creation without her consent. This spirit's hatred for humanity corrupted Harara, driving him to insanity and causing his body to assume a hermaphroditic form. Believing humanity responsible for environmental destruction, Harara abandoned his protective duty and resolved to exterminate humans. He commanded monstrous Tactical Fiends to achieve this goal. After turning against his family, he killed their father Oboro in combat and initially defeated Kakugo. Harara commanded with strategic leadership and demonstrated unusual care for his minions, showing appreciation for their sacrifices. Harara's combat abilities included multiple steel balls embedded in his body; he could absorb these to coat his skin in metal for enhanced strength. His signature technique, Spiral, drew energy from the earth into a strike capable of violently expelling an opponent's internal organs. After Kakugo defeated the Tactical Fiend Eikichi, Harara possessed Eikichi's deteriorating body to confront Kakugo directly. This decision proved flawed, as damage to Eikichi's body transferred to Harara, and rigor mortis limited mobility. Kakugo ultimately defeated him, leaving Harara in a coma for most of the manga's duration. In later media such as the pseudo-sequel Exoskull Zero, Harara appears among other armored warriors after Kakugo awakens from a long slumber. This narrative explores differing approaches to justice among the characters. Philosophical elements attributed to Harara include the statement "virtue and dignity do not suit me," reflecting his rejection of conventional morality.
