Description
Olba Frost is one of the two principal antagonists of After War Gundam X, serving alongside his older fraternal twin brother Shagia Frost. The brothers are known collectively as the Frost brothers, and Olba is the younger and more impulsive of the pair. He is an adult man with shoulder-length purple hair and brown eyes. Early in the series, he poses as a freelance mobile suit pilot, but he is later revealed to be connected to the military forces of the New United Nations Earth. In truth, the Frost brothers pursue their own agenda rather than genuine loyalty to any faction, and they are willing to use the New United Nations Earth and the Space Revolutionary Army as stepping stones toward their goals. Their repeated clashes with the crew of the Freeden and with the pilot Garrod Ran form a central thread of the series conflict.

Olba's background is shaped by the classification he and his brother received as Newtype candidates. Because the Flash System did not respond to the twins, they were designated Category F, a label that denied them recognition as Newtypes. This treatment fostered a deep resentment toward humanity and toward a world that refused to acknowledge their abilities. That resentment fuels their shared philosophy that the world must be corrected, encompassing both the powerless Oldtypes and the powerful Newtypes alike. Olba is wholly committed to this mission and to the notion that the strong are entitled to rule over the weak.

In personality, Olba is hot-headed, reckless, and more volatile than his brother. He tries to imitate Shagia's cool and composed manner, but his emotions frequently get the better of him, and in battle he can become bloodthirsty and driven by an obsessive sense of superiority. He is highly competitive and dislikes losing to Garrod and the rest of the Freeden crew, at times becoming so focused on defeating them that he must be reminded not to let that rivalry interfere with the brothers' larger mission. His one genuine attachment is to Shagia, the only person he truly respects, and he generally obeys his brother's orders even when his impulses urge him otherwise.

The brothers share a psychic twin bond that allows them to communicate with each other across any distance. Olba makes use of this ability when he infiltrates the Freeden, silently passing information to Shagia, who operates elsewhere at the time. As a mobile suit pilot, Olba is highly capable and serves as the pilot of the NRX-0015 Gundam Ashtaron and its upgraded form, the NRX-0015-HC Gundam Ashtaron Hermit Crab. His role in the story sees him repeatedly pursuing Tiffa Adill and opposing the Freeden's efforts, making him a persistent threat to the protagonists throughout the series.

Over the course of the narrative, Olba's conflict with Garrod and the Freeen crew becomes increasingly personal, and his recklessness often places him in direct confrontation with them. In the final battle, he equips the Gundam Ashtaron Hermit Crab with a satellite launcher and uses it to destroy both the leader of the Space Revolutionary Army and the supreme commander of the New United Nations Earth in a single devastating attack. He appears to be destroyed in a mutual exchange with the Gundam Double X, but after the war he is shown alive in the town of Saint Clang, his head bandaged, accompanying his brother Shagia. This quiet survival suggests that, despite his violent path, he and his brother endure into the postwar world.
