Description
Mihoshi Takamura, known affectionately as Mii-tan, Mihorin, or Miho-nee, teaches at Keishin Academy and advises the girls' basketball team. She is Nayu Hasegawa's sister and Subaru Hasegawa's aunt. Her distinctive thigh-length purple hair, yellow-green eyes, and petite 154 cm (5'0") frame lead school nurse Touko Hatano to label her with a "loli" characterization due to her youthful appearance.
Mihoshi exhibits a mischievous streak, often employing trickery to achieve her aims—such as blackmailing Subaru into coaching an elementary basketball team by threatening to expose his childhood diary. Beneath this playful exterior, she genuinely supports both Subaru and her team. She maintains a fierce rivalry with Ogasawara, coach of Keishin's boys' basketball team.
As advisor, she initially lacks basketball expertise but strategically leverages Subaru's coaching to prevent the club's disbandment. Her indirect contributions prove vital, like suggesting Tomoka Minato attempt fifty consecutive free throws to sway Subaru’s commitment—a tactic that succeeds. Beyond basketball, she holds a driver's license and possesses martial arts skills, though she rarely displays the latter. Her energetic, occasionally impulsive demeanor draws parallels to player Maho Misawa.
Her name combines the characters for "beautiful" (美) and "star" (星), while Takamura means "bamboo grove" (篁). During a beach trip, she temporarily substitutes for an ill Aoi Ogiyama, reinforcing her role as a dependable figure for the team.
