Description
Queen Raindevila is the ruler of the Devil World and the main antagonist of the anime Wedding Peach, as well as its OVA sequel Wedding Peach DX. Her name is derived from the French phrase meaning Queen Devil, and she is portrayed as a commanding, regal figure with long green hair and gray eyes. From early in the series she is established as the supreme authority behind the devils who attack the human world, dispatching servants such as Pluie and Jama-P to carry out her plans and to steal the sacred rings connected to the Love Angels.
Raindevila's defining motivation is her absolute hatred of love. She desires nothing less than to destroy love wherever it exists and to bring the Angel World under her control. The anime reveals that this hatred has a personal origin: years earlier she ventured into the Angel World and fell in love with an angel at first sight, but the experience ended in heartbreak. From that point onward, she came to despise love and resolved to eliminate it and all those who experience it.
