Description
The character known as Fokker is the Japanese name for Edward Falcon, the central protagonist of the Power Stone series. Fokker is a 21-year-old aviator who hails from the town of Londo. He travels the world in his beloved airplane, the Hockenheim, which bears a name referencing his own; his Japanese name is a direct nod to the Fokker aircraft. His father is Pride Falcon, an archaeologist, and an ancient artifact passed down through the family reveals the existence of the legendary Power Stones, setting Fokker on his lifelong quest.

In terms of personality, Fokker is defined by a strong sense of justice and is consistently described as a gentleman. While he can be something of a flirt, his demeanor is generally well-mannered and noble. He has a courageous and somewhat headstrong nature, believing firmly in his own principles, which can sometimes lead to naive behavior. Despite this, his core drive is to vanquish evil and do what is right.

Fokker's primary motivation is the search for the Power Stones, a journey that also involves finding his missing father, Pride Falcon. He is a skilled boxer, having trained extensively in the sport, and uses sharp punches and explosive moves in combat. When he collects enough Power Stones, he undergoes a Power Change, transforming into a powerful, mecha-like form known as the Red Whirlwind. In this state, he gains access to several notable abilities, including the Power Missile, which fires projectiles from his wrists; the Power Hurricane, where he spins in a fiery cyclone; the Power Rocket, a charging homing attack; and the Power Explosion, which releases a swarm of homing missiles from his body.

In the story of the anime, Fokker begins his journey in Sun Land after his father sends him a Power Stone. He learns to use this stone and is soon joined by his butler, Apollis. Along the way, he meets the fortune teller Rouge, who gives him directions to travel across various lands including Wood Land, Fire Land, Gold Land, Dark Land, and Soil Land to find more stones. He frequently clashes with rivals such as the swordsman Ryoma, who seeks to fight him, and the Octopus Twins, Octo and Pus, who covet his Power Stone. He also encounters the ninja Ayame, who develops a romantic interest in him.

Key relationships define his journey. Fokker develops a crush on Rouge, though this affection is unrequited as Rouge is more interested in Ryoma. Conversely, Ayame likes Fokker, but he does not return her feelings. Throughout the series, his primary relationship is with his father, Pride Falcon, and his loyal butler, Apollis. In a notable moment, Apollis is even able to use Fokker's Power Stone to transform.

Fokker shows development as he perseveres through his adventures. He eventually confronts the primary antagonist, Valgas, in the Dark Lands. After an initial defeat, he is able to summon the Light Stone to overcome Valgas and destroy his Dark Stone. Having completed his quest to find his father, Fokker ultimately decides to leave Pride and Apollis behind to set off on a new adventure around the world, showing his restless and independent spirit.
