Description
Killer, also known by his alias "Kamazo the Manslayer," is a prominent figure from the South Blue and a key member of the Kid Pirates, serving as the combatant and right-hand man to his captain, Eustass Kid. As one of the twelve pirates who form the "Worst Generation," his reputation and skills earned him a bounty of 162,000,000 before the timeskip, which later rose to 200,000,000. His birth date is February 2nd, and he stands approximately 195 centimeters tall.

Physically, Killer is a tall, muscular man with long, wavy blonde hair. His most distinctive feature is a full-head striped helmet with rows of holes, which he wears along with what appear to be modern headphones. This helmet was originally adopted to hide his face because of a deep-seated insecurity. He disliked his own unique laughter, which sounds like "faffaffaffa," so much that he would attack anyone who mocked it, eventually stopping himself from laughing at all and concealing his face. His preferred food is spaghetti, and his mask is specially designed to allow him to eat long, stick-shaped foods like noodles and ramen without removing it. His attire typically consists of a black polka-dotted shirt, blue riding chaps, and a red sash. After the timeskip, his appearance becomes slightly more rugged; he grows a goatee, has a prominent scar on his left arm, and his hair is cut shorter. During his time undercover in Wano Country, he abandoned his helmet and took on the identity of Kamazo, wearing bandages over most of his face and a red-violet kimono with yellow sickle patterns.

In terms of personality, Killer stands in contrast to his hot-headed captain. He is level-headed, calm, and often serves as the voice of reason for the Kid Pirates. He possesses a more pragmatic outlook, preferring to de-escalate situations and remind his crew of their goals rather than rushing into unnecessary conflict. He is also knowledgeable, once informing Kid about the historical significance of the Ox Bell. Despite his composed demeanor, he is by no means passive or gentle; he is a violent and ruthless fighter when the situation demands it, fully capable of the brutality expected of a high-profile pirate.

His motivations are deeply rooted in loyalty. He shares a profound, lifelong bond with Eustass Kid, having grown up together. This loyalty is so absolute that when his captain and crew were defeated and endangered by the Emperor Kaido, Killer was willing to sacrifice his own well-being. To save his captain, he accepted a desperate deal: he ate a defective SMILE, an artificial devil fruit. This cursed fruit robbed him of his ability to express any negative emotion, such as sorrow or anger, forcing him to only smile and laugh. It also took away his ability to swim. Under the weight of this condition, he assumed the alias Kamazo the Manslayer and became a silent assassin for the shogun of Wano Country, Kurozumi Orochi, hoping his servitude would ensure his crew's safety.

Killer's role in the story becomes particularly significant during the Wano Country arc. As Kamazo, he was hired by Orochi to kill a young girl named Toko. This mission led him to a confrontation with Roronoa Zoro, whom he fought fiercely. While Killer managed to land a grievous wound on the Straw Hat swordsman, he was ultimately defeated. For his failure, he was sent to the Udon prison mine, where he was reunited with his captain. Despite his cursed condition, which made him laugh uncontrollably, he tearfully reaffirmed his loyalty to Kid. He later joined the alliance of pirates and samurai in the raid on Onigashima, seeking to overthrow Kaido and Orochi. In this battle, he demonstrated his incredible combat prowess by using his signature weapons, the Punishers, a pair of gauntlets with detachable spinning scythe blades, to injure Kaido himself, a feat accomplished by very few.

His key relationships are central to his character. His connection with Kid is the strongest; Kid sees him not just as a subordinate but as his partner, and he attempted a reckless rescue upon realizing something was wrong with him. Killer, in turn, has shown an extreme willingness to protect Kid, even begging an enemy, Basil Hawkins, to take his own life instead of his captain's. He also shares a rivalry with Roronoa Zoro, as the two are the only members of the Worst Generation who are not ship captains. After their fight, Killer expressed confidence that the outcome would have favored him had he been using his Punishers, a claim Zoro refuted.

In terms of abilities, Killer is a formidable fighter whose skills justify his high bounty and status in the Worst Generation. He relies on immense agility, speed, and physical strength. His primary weapons are the Punishers, which he can spin at high speeds to generate powerful soundwaves that bypass external durability and damage opponents from the inside. He also possesses Busoshoku and Kenbunshoku Haki, and like his captain, he has shown the willpower to resist a burst of Conqueror's Haki. However, as a consequence of consuming a defective SMILE fruit, he can no longer swim and is condemned to express only joy, a tragic fate for such a loyal and otherwise emotionally complex man.
