Description
Gabby is a supporting character in Daemons of the Shadow Realm who serves as a formidable Tsugai user affiliated with the Kagémori household. Despite her youthful appearance, which features a petite frame, golden hair styled into twin braids, and sharp pink eyes, she claims to be older than the protagonist Yuru. Her typical attire consists of a long red coat with a distinctive white X on the upper back, worn over a black long-sleeved shirt, paired with black tights and boots.

Gabby's personality is marked by a striking contrast between a ruthless and vengeful demeanor in combat and a playful, childish side in quieter moments. She approaches her duties as a mercenary for the Kagémori family with serious tenacity, yet she is known to tease her colleague Jin Kagemori, giving him the nickname Jinny. Even when using her Tsugai to lethal effect, she has been known to playfully use the term chomp while commanding her daemon. A core and unbreakable rule for Gabby is that she absolutely refuses to harm children, no matter the circumstances or the violence of her mission. She is also fiercely protective of her best friend, Asa, and holds a petty grudge against Yuru for having shot her in the leg during their first, hostile encounter.

Gabby is a Tsugai user who wields a powerful daemon named Gabriel. In its active combat form, Gabriel manifests as a massive set of jaws, approximately half the size of a small car, capable of biting through other daemons. This form is accompanied by a floating black smoke filled with many eyes. When not in battle, Gabriel shrinks to a much smaller size, small enough to fit in Gabby's hand. Her role in the story begins as an antagonist, as she is part of the Kagémori force that attacks the isolated village of Higashimura, an event that shatters the peaceful life Yuru had known. She is the one who, with horrifying efficiency, uses her power simply by uttering a command like gobble, directly contributing to the downfall of the village. Despite this violent introduction, her character develops beyond that of a simple villain. As the story progresses, she works alongside Asa as a manga assistant for Hikaru Kagémori, indicating a more settled and cooperative role within the household. Her key relationships include her deep friendship with Asa, who nicknames her Gabbs, her professional and teasing dynamic with Jin Kagemori, and her adversarial yet grudging connection with Yuru.
