Description
Cyclase Meyer is a character from Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans – Urðr Hunt Special Edition who operates as a professional killer belonging to the Omden Colony Company and pilots a Schwalbe Custom mobile suit. Prior to his life as a mercenary, Cyclase was an officer within the Earth sphere's military organization Gjallarhorn, but he fled after murdering his superior officer, eventually being hired by the Omden Colony Company and establishing his position within their ranks as an assassin. His transformation into a cold and ruthless individual is rooted in a traumatic past; he was once a kind-hearted young man proud of his father's research, which involved excavating and studying mobile armors from the Calamity War era alongside his father and his father's disciple, Kozo Mendo. However, after his father was deliberately murdered through the schemes of someone who had gathered certain information, Cyclase came to believe that academia cannot change the world and that only possessing power can do so, leading him to become a Gjallarhorn soldier and eventually follow the path he now walks.

In terms of personality, Cyclase regards the protagonist Wistario Afam as a naive child and, during their first confrontation, did not hesitate to lie about not being a participant in the Urðr Hunt before pointing a gun at him. He is also assigned to monitor a fellow Omden operative named Langes Dobrisco, but after Langes repeatedly fails to secure a ring, Cyclase abandons him and leaves both Langes and his subordinate Andy Bit to be disposed of by a mobile armor. Cyclase is notable for being the only character in the middle portion of the story who possesses two rings. His role in the narrative involves actively sabotaging destinations and engaging in other acts of subterfuge to force other participants in the Urðr Hunt to drop out of the competition. Although he was secretly supported by one of Omden Colony Company's directors who wanted the Urðr Hunt to fail, Cyclase sees through this as a plot to discard him and betrays Omden after reaching the fifth point, subsequently disposing of his own subordinates and disappearing along with two guides. Thanks to his prior service in Gjallarhorn and his family history, Cyclase possesses knowledge concerning the Calamity War era. After his betrayal of Omden, he is hired by Okiwa Uroka, a senior retainer of the Issue family, to serve as a fleet commander.
