Description
Ordo is a general of the Yan Kingdom and the commander of the Ordo Army, a force composed mainly of warriors from different mountain tribes and specialized in the siege of mountain forts. He carries the title of King of the 50 Mountain Tribes, and after the death of the celebrated Yan general Geki Shin, his army came to be regarded as the most capable and formidable fighting force in the entire Yan Kingdom.
In appearance, Ordo is an immensely tall man whose towering stature makes him one of the largest commanders in the story. He has white-greying hair, a short trimmed beard and mustache, and tattoos on both cheeks, and he wears the decorated armor befitting a great general of his rank.
His background sets him apart from most Yan officers. Although born among the plains people, Ordo grew up in the mountains, where he eventually united dozens of tribes under a single banner and was recognized as their king. This mountain upbringing shapes much of his character. He is fiercely proud and independent, and he refuses to be treated as a mere subordinate. When the king of Yan tried to place him under stricter control by sending an official named Maengryong to manage him, Ordo cut the man down with a single stroke of his sword, declaring that the king had looked down on him.
