Description
Falulu is a central character who appears in the crossover movie Aikatsu! x PriPara THE MOVIE -Deai no Kiseki!-. Within the world of PriPara, she is not an ordinary girl but a Vocal Doll, a unique being born from the collective hopes, dreams, and wishes of girls who aspire to become idols. Her existence is tied directly to the magical ticket that created her, and she is cared for by her mascot manager, a unicorn named Unicorn. As a Vocal Doll, her age is somewhat ambiguous, though Unicorn states that she is approximately ten years old. Before the events of the movie, Falulu could not leave the world of PriPara, a limitation that later becomes a significant part of her story.

In her earliest appearances, Falulu’s personality is defined by a profound naivety and a limited understanding of the world. She has a habit of repeating the words and actions of others, mimicking the catchphrases and mannerisms of idols she observes. Her voice has a slightly robotic quality, and she often describes things that impress or move her, such as the legendary Prism Voice or the idol Laala Manaka, with the simple, heartfelt word sparkling. Despite her childlike demeanor, she demonstrates a surprising capacity for intelligence, such as solving complex mathematical equations in seconds. Even before she fully understands emotions, she exhibits flashes of anger, fear, happiness, and even disobedience, particularly when she is drawn to connect with others against Unicorn’s guidance.

Falulu’s primary motivation is an innate desire to connect with the sparkling feelings she senses in the world, most notably through the Prism Voice. This legendary voice, which she shares with Laala Manaka, allows her to reach the hearts of her audience and is a source of immense power and connection. She is first drawn to Laala because she can hear this voice, and a significant part of her journey revolves around understanding the friendship and emotions that the voice represents. Her role in the larger narrative is that of a catalyst and a symbol of the pure, magical essence of PriPara. She initially appears as a mysterious rival who possesses incredible talent, able to perform multiple making dramas in a single performance and easily win the Paradise Coord. However, her true role deepens as she transforms from a disconnected observer into an emotionally engaged friend and caretaker.

Her key relationships are the driving force behind her development. The most important of these is her bond with Laala Manaka. Laala’s kindness and persistent friendship awaken in Falulu a deeper sense of self, leading to a profound re-awakening. In this pivotal transformation, Falulu’s physical appearance becomes more refined, her voice loses its robotic tone and becomes vivacious and human-like, and her personality matures. She becomes more responsible, demonstrating common values such as apologizing for causing worry. This sense of duty is further emphasized when she is entrusted with the care of one hundred younger sisters, the Mini Falulus, cementing her role as a protective older figure. She also forms the unit Tricolore with her close friends Hibiki Shikyoin, whom she affectionately calls Maho-chan, and Fuwari Midorikaze.

Falulu possesses several notable abilities that set her apart as an idol. Her most renowned talent is the Prism Voice, a rare and legendary power that allows her singing to reach the hearts of all who listen. She is a remarkably fast learner, able to master any song after hearing it only once. As a performer, her skills are exceptional; during her debut, she was able to jump directly to the highest level of the Debut Class, and she has demonstrated the ability to perform seven different Making Dramas in a single live show, a feat unmatched by most idols. In the movie, she continues to play a vital role, her unique nature as a Vocal Doll and her deep connection to the Prism Voice making her essential to the story’s resolution. She is also later chosen to serve as a temporary stand-in goddess for Janis, further highlighting her pure and powerful spirit.
