Movie
Description
Laala Manaka is the main protagonist of the PriPara series, a sixth grader at Paprika Private Academy who works as a lovely-type idol with the preferred brand Twinkle Ribbon. Her signature catchphrase is Capisce, and she is known for her bright, cheerful, and endlessly energetic personality, often described as bouncing off the walls. She approaches every situation with optimism and a friendly, open-hearted attitude, and she holds a strong sense of justice, disliking bullying or unfairness. Her primary motivation is to become the best idol she can be while bringing smiles and happiness to those around her, a goal she pursues with sincere dedication.

In the crossover film, Laala finds her world unexpectedly merging with the Aikatsu universe after a simultaneous system error causes the two separate realities to collide. She becomes a central figure in the effort to restore normalcy, working alongside her fellow PriPara characters as well as the Aikatsu idols. She is a member of the divine idol unit SoLaMi SMILE alongside Mirei Minami and Sophie Hojo, and in the movie she forms a close bond with Akari Oozora, the Aikatsu protagonist. Their partnership grows as they collaborate to organize a joint live festival, using the power of their performances to heal the damaged timeline. Laala demonstrates strong leadership and an unshakable resolve to help others, even when the situation causes strange changes in her own family life, such as her family’s Italian restaurant becoming a Chinese restaurant.

Among her notable abilities, Laala possesses the legendary Prism Voice, which enhances her singing and performances. She also frequently uses the Cyalume Change technique during concerts, and her idol form features long lavender hair tied into twin braids with a signature pink bow that she always keeps. Throughout the film, she shows personal growth by balancing her responsibilities as an idol with her concern for her friends and by trusting in the miracle that brought the two worlds together. Her cheerful determination and belief in friendship drive the story forward, and she ultimately helps create a memorable collaboration that mends the rift between the two worlds.
