Himika Akaneya is a Japanese voice actress and singer from Akita Prefecture, born on July 16, 1994. She is affiliated with the talent agency 81 Produce and is a member of the voice actor idol group i☆Ris. Her path to the industry began in 2012 when she participated in a joint audition held by Avex Group and 81 Produce for anime song singers, successfully passing and becoming one of the founding members of i☆Ris. She made her voice acting debut the following year.

Akaneya is widely recognized for her role as the protagonist Laala Manaka in the long-running multimedia franchise Pretty Rhythm and its successor PriPara (星光乐园), a part she has played since 2014. This character connects her to numerous films and specials within the series, including Idol Time PriPara, Gekijō-ban PriPara Mi~nna Atsumare! Prism Tours, and Aikatsu! x PriPara THE MOVIE -Deai no Kiseki!-. Her association with the Pretty series also extends to Kiratto Pri☆Chan, where she voices Maria Kanamori.

Her other prominent anime roles include Yuri Dietrich in RErideD, the titular character Izetta in Izetta: The Last Witch (終末的伊澤塔), Ritsuka Tachibana in Dance with Devils, and Tsuyuno Yatsumura in Magical Girl Site (魔法少女網站). She has also lent her voice to Subaru in Shachibato! President, It's Time for Battle!, the Sister in Magical Sempai (魔術學姐), Nuckelavee in Million Arthur (叛逆性百萬亞瑟王), and Honoka Tamarai in the ReLIFE: Final Arc OVA. In the Katana Maidens franchise, she voices Mihono Asakura across multiple projects, including the series, the mini-anime Mini Toji, and the OVA Katana Maidens: Tomoshibi. Her filmography also includes supporting roles in series such as How to keep a mummy (小木乃伊到我家) as Asa Motegi and the feature film Laidbackers as Mai Maisaka.

Beyond her series regular roles, Akaneya has been featured in a wide variety of other productions, including Land of the Lustrous as Zircon and Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai as Saki Kamisato. In video games, she is known for voicing the character Circe in Fate/Grand Order and the Blade Electra in Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

In addition to her voice acting work, Akaneya has achieved recognition as a singer. As a member of i☆Ris, she was a recipient of the Singing Award at the 10th Seiyu Awards in 2016. The group has contributed theme songs for several anime, including the opening theme for Magical Sempai, a series in which Akaneya also voices a character. In 2023, she launched her solo singing career, releasing her debut single Stereo Sunset (Prod. AmPm), which was used as an ending theme for the anime MF Ghost.
