Mihono Asakura is a student at Minoseki Academy, presented as a first-year high school student in the game and as a third-year junior high student in the original video animation. An apprentice to Kanami Etou, she is a dedicated member of the Akabanetou Investigation Squad, which gathers intelligence on scattered okatanas and undertakes missions.

She possesses a bright, positive, and energetic personality, often raising the spirits of those around her as a natural moodmaker. Mihono trains rigorously and carries out missions with her team, demonstrating strong commitment to her role as a Toji.

During an early tournament, she faces Kanami Etou in the preliminary rounds and is defeated. This loss forges a lasting promise of a rematch, a goal that continues to drive her even after their journeys take different directions.

Mihono wields the okatana Kashuu Kiyomitsu. After the End of the Year Great Disaster, she is present among the first to see the return of Kanami Etou and Hiyori Juujou from the netherworld.
