Description
Kantarō Yodayama carries on the legacy of his grandfather, Kan-chan, maintaining the family's connection to the mystical genie bottle. He possesses fair skin, dark brown hair, black eyes, and a well-rounded face. His signature look features a red t-shirt adorned with a white bottle pattern displaying blue eyes, blue capris pants with pockets, a light-green belt, white socks, sky-blue loafers, and a unique white-and-blue cap marked by a prominent red "K" symbol.

Fifty years after his grandfather's genie encounters, Kantarō meets Akubi, daughter of Hakushon Daimaō, as she arrives in the human world for training to become queen. He serves as her primary human companion throughout this journey. Together, they dive into various adventures and undertake different jobs, experiences through which Kantarō discovers the importance of having dreams and aspirations. His daily routine involves navigating the often comedic and unpredictable results of Akubi's wish-granting, frequently complicated by her literal or mischievous interpretations.

His immediate family consists of his father, Takashi Yodayama; his mother, Yōko Yodayama; and his grandfather, Kanichi Yodayama. Kantarō appears exclusively within the 20-episode 2020 sequel series. His narrative arc concludes in this series, showing him gaining a broader perspective on life's possibilities through his shared experiences with Akubi. He does not feature in spinoffs like *Yobarete Tobidete! Akubi-chan* (2001–2002) or *Akubi Girl* (2006), nor in crossover media such as the film *Pandora to Akubi* (2019).
