Description
Miyuri Shimabukuro is a Japanese voice actress born on December 6, 1994, in Okinawa Prefecture. She is affiliated with the talent agency Office Osawa. Shimabukuro made her debut as a voice actress in 2017 with a small role in the anime series Kirakira☆Precure A La Mode. Her career gained momentum in 2018 when she landed her first main roles, including Nagisa Aragaki in the sports anime Hanebad!, Yuuna Yunohana in Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs, and Shoop Gushiken in Music Girls. That same year, she also voiced Narumi Tōi in Harukana Receive.
Following her breakout year, Shimabukuro continued to secure a wide variety of roles, demonstrating her versatility across different genres. In 2019, she voiced the protagonist Carole Stanley in the music-themed series Carole & Tuesday, Addie in The Magnificent KOTOBUKI, and Mangetsu Kohinata in Granbelm. She also began her role as Inca Kasugatani in the Fire Force franchise that year. The year 2020 saw her take on parts such as Sally Simpson in Listeners, Kaede in Gal & Dino, and Kantarō Yodayama in Hakushon Daimaō 2020. Her role as the slime Syrup in the popular series BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense. also began in 2020. In 2021, her filmography expanded with roles like Nozomi Onda in Farewell, My Dear Cramer and its film adaptation, Ringo Tatara in Battle Game in 5 Seconds, and Aoi Harukawa in the anime film Summer Ghost. She continued to take on prominent parts in the following years, such as Kohakumiya in Vermeil in Gold in 2022, Mizuki Usurai in Hana wa Saku, Shura no Gotoku, and The Blacksmith in Re:Monster, both in 2024, and Ai Demoto in the Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction anime project. Beyond animation, Shimabukuro has also lent her voice to video games, most notably as the title character Elmerulia Frixell in Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland.
