Generally calm and collected, Kohakumiya embodies a power-driven scientist, creating a monster designed to eradicate humanity. She intensely dislikes her colleague Iolite for his arrogance and constant destruction of her paper figures, yet regularly plays Shogi with him, never winning. Her intelligence allows her to identify significant threats, recognizing Vermeil as a devil and capturing photographic evidence of Vermeil with Alto Goldfield. She demonstrates manipulative tendencies, notably recruiting and then abandoning Obsidian once he became ineffective.

Her central conflict is her enmity with Elena Kimberlight. She collaborated, albeit with strain, with fellow Platinum mages like Iolite, managing an object titled "Wave" alongside him. She strategically recruited the unstable Obsidian to produce devil doses but deserted him after his failure at Ortigia Academy, prioritizing her escape over his fate.

As a Platinum Squared mage, her primary magic involves creating and manipulating paper shikigami.
