Description
"Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs" is a supernatural romantic comedy anime set in a boarding house called Yuragi-sou, which is rumored to be haunted. The story centers on Kogarashi Fuyuzora, a teenage psychic who has spent years wandering and exorcising spirits. Seeking a place to live, he moves into Yuragi-sou, only to discover that the ghost haunting the building is Yuuna Yunohana, a cheerful and friendly spirit who cannot remember the circumstances of her death. Despite being a ghost, Yuuna interacts with the living residents as if she were still alive, and Kogarashi resolves to help her find peace by uncovering the mystery of her past.

The boarding house is home to a colorful cast of characters, each with their own quirks and supernatural traits. Sagiri Ameno, a shrine maiden, possesses divine powers but struggles with her shyness. Oboro Shinto, a ninja, is fiercely competitive and often clashes with others. Chisaki Miyazaki, a mermaid, hides her true nature while navigating human society. Nonko Arahabaki, the landlady, is a busty and carefree woman with a mysterious past. These residents, along with others, form a lively and eccentric community that frequently finds itself entangled in comedic and supernatural situations.

The narrative blends episodic comedy with an overarching plotline focused on Kogarashi's efforts to help Yuuna move on. Along the way, Kogarashi's psychic abilities are frequently tested as he encounters various spirits, demons, and supernatural phenomena. The series also explores the growing bond between Kogarashi and Yuuna, as well as his interactions with the other residents, who often develop romantic feelings for him. The mix of humor, romance, and supernatural elements creates a lighthearted yet engaging tone, with occasional moments of emotional depth as the characters confront their personal struggles and the mysteries surrounding Yuragi-sou.

As the story progresses, Kogarashi learns more about Yuuna's past and the circumstances that led to her becoming a ghost. The series balances its comedic and romantic elements with a gradual unraveling of the central mystery, culminating in a resolution that ties together the characters' relationships and Yuuna's unfinished business. The anime adapts the manga's blend of humor, romance, and supernatural intrigue, offering a mix of episodic antics and a heartfelt narrative about friendship, love, and the search for closure.
