Description
Koyuzu Shigaraki is a tanuki yokai of the Bakedanuki Clan, born on April 6 in a tanuki village. Physically resembling a 10-11 year old child, sources vary on her height (approximately 105 cm/3'5" or 125 cm) and weight (32.9 kg or 31 kg). She possesses short brown or blonde hair, yellow eyes, and retains visible tanuki ears and a tail in her human form, as her attempts at more mature transformations often fail to conceal these features.
Leaving her village at age ten to live independently in the human world, a customary tanuki practice, her inadequate transformation skills prevented successful integration, forcing her into abandoned mountain dwellings. Her circumstances shifted after encountering high school student Chisaki Miyazaki, whose physique she deemed ideal for transformation reference. This admiration led Koyuzu to secretly observe Chisaki, using possessed stuffed animals to study, inadvertently causing disturbances Chisaki initially mistook for hauntings.
The stalking culminated in an intervention by Kogarashi Fuyuzora and Yuuna Yunohana, exposing Koyuzu. After explaining her motives, Chisaki permitted continued observation. Kogarashi and Yuuna then arranged Koyuzu's residency at Yuragi-sou, where she integrated with other inhabitants.
