Jannika Jira is a German actress and voice actor born in 1984 in Wildeshausen, Germany. She trained at the Schauspiel-Studio Frese in Hamburg, graduating with a diploma. Her career began in theatre, with performances at institutions including the Bremer Shakespeare Company, the Landestheater Burghofbühne Dinslaken, and the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, as well as appearances at the Störtebeker Festspiele. She has also worked extensively in front of the camera in German television productions such as Rote Rosen, Morden im Norden, and In Gefahr.

Alongside her on-screen work, Jira has built a substantial career as a voice actor, lending her voice to over 400 roles in film, television, and animation. Her voice work encompasses dubbing for international live-action actors, including Kristen Stewart in Crimes of the Future, as well as numerous voice roles in animated series and films. She is also active as a speaker for documentaries, video games, and audio plays.

In the realm of anime, Jira provides the German voice for a wide range of characters. Notably, she voices Akiko Yosano, the port mafia physician, in the series Bungo Stray Dogs. In the film Josee, The Tiger and the Fish, she is the voice of Mai Ninomiya. She voices the character Makoto in the anime film Bubble.
