Description
Oboro Shintou originated as a divine construct formed from the tail of the previous black dragon god of Dragon Grace Lake, created by the dragon god's wife, Gozen. This act defined her core purpose: to protect and serve Ryuuga Genshiro, the current black dragon god and her technical half-brother, while ensuring the strength and continuity of the Ryuuga clan. Her initial duties demanded unwavering loyalty to Genshiro, frequently employing forceful methods like orchestrating marriages to advance the clan's interests.

Physically, Oboro possesses an androgynous appearance marked by short white hair, purple eyes, and an eyepatch covering her left eye. She typically wears traditional attire such as a kimono and haori. Standing 151 cm (4'11") tall and weighing approximately 48.5 kg, her abilities stem from her divine heritage. These notably include "God Speed," granting near-unmatched agility and evasive prowess for effortless maneuvering past opponents. She can manifest blades from her arms ("Dragon God's Tail") and create portals accessing Ryuuga Palace from the human world.

Oboro's personality begins aloof and stoic, characterized by emotionless speech and singular mission focus. She displays naivety regarding social norms, particularly modesty, often undressing openly to seduce targets without understanding the implications. Early antagonism sees her kidnap Yuuna Yunohana for Genshiro and defeat Sagiri Ameno during a rescue. After Kogarashi Fuyuzora defeats Genshiro twice, Oboro shifts strategy, moving into Yuragi Inn to seduce Kogarashi. Her goal evolves into bearing his children to produce powerful Ryuuga heirs, though Japanese law later forces an adjustment toward becoming his lover.

Character development unfolds through interactions with Kogarashi and Yuragi Inn residents. Initially viewing Kogarashi as a genetic asset, she persistently attempts seduction via physical advances he rejects due to his belief in mutual love. Gradually, Oboro develops genuine romantic feelings, culminating in tearful defiance of Genshiro to protect Kogarashi during a rematch. This signifies her internal conflict between clan duty and personal attachment. She later privately confesses her love, acknowledging her emotions while accepting a romantic relationship over a transactional one.

Relationships illustrate her integration into the community. She transitions from dismissing Yuuna Yunohana's feelings to respecting her as Kogarashi's "legal wife" and defending her against threats like Makyouin Ouga. Her initial combat with Sagiri Ameno evolves into mutual training and camaraderie, though they become romantic rivals after Sagiri admits her own feelings for Kogarashi. Oboro seeks romantic guidance from Miyazaki Chisaki, highlighting her social inexperience, and views Hiougi Karura as her primary competitor for Kogarashi's affections.
