Description
Anatomi Kurita is a prominent character from the anime Ninja vs. Gokudo, known by the alias Monster Doctor. He serves as the leader of a group of rogue medical professionals called the Doctors Without Salvation and is a member of the Eight Extremes, a powerful faction within the Gokudo organization.
Standing over three meters tall, Anatomi possesses a physically unnatural and monstrous appearance. His physique is characterized by an asymmetrical split mouth filled with countless fangs and an unusually long torso. This terrifying form is not natural; it is the result of extensive self-inflicted body modifications. His distinctive attire is a white coat split equally into black and white, reflecting his dual nature. Despite his intimidating stature, he speaks in a soft, effeminate tone and harbors a deep admiration for the giant tokusatsu hero show Nebulaman, particularly identifying with the monstrous forms of the creatures.
Anatomi is the twin brother of Biban Kurita, a celebrated figure known as the Father of Narcology. The brothers lost their doctor parents at a young age and were raised by an uncle. Initially on a path to delinquency, Anatomi was steered back by his brother and went on to medical school, becoming a renowned doctor and even co-authoring medical texts with Biban. However, he later discovered that their inheritance had been squandered and that Biban had secretly funded his education through drug dealing. When Biban attempted to confess to the police to protect his brother's career, Anatomi chose to protect their unique bond instead, helping him and embracing the criminal underworld. It was during this time that he developed the narcotic known as Heaven's Coupon and forged his longest-standing association with fellow Gokudo, Kiwami Kimura, whom he affectionately calls Darling.
His transformation into a monster occurred after a raid on their research lab by ninjas left Biban critically injured and beyond normal medical help. To fulfill his brother's dying wish and avenge him, Anatomi performed a forbidden Fraternal Junction Surgery, severing his own torso and fusing it with Biban's body. To endure the excruciating pain of this surgery, he created a prototype anti-ninja trump card, a concentrated narcotic called Hell's Coupon.
In the story, Anatomi enacts a major bioterror attack by occupying Tokyo's water purification plants to drug the entire city with Heaven's Coupon, significantly weakening the ninja forces. He engages in a fierce battle with the ninjas Sako Hasegawa and Uryu Yagi. Despite his power, his deepest motivations are revealed to be rooted in love and regret. He cries genuine tears for his fallen comrade Gamute, whom he calls Prince, and vows revenge upon his death. In his final moments, his true desire is shown not for destruction, but to save his subordinates from their own paths to depravity, wishing he could have protected them from their darker fates. He accepts his own death with a sense of peace, particularly when his opponent honors him by acknowledging him as a true monster.
Anatomi Kurita's abilities are a direct result of his modified Monster Body. His height and unique physiology grant him superhuman evasion, reaction speed, and astounding lung capacity, allowing him to extinguish flames with a single breath. His ultimate transformation, Merveille, is achieved by fusing his upper body with his brother's, creating a four-armed physique where all internal organ functions are doubled. This dual-organ structure allows him to perform otherwise impossible movements and, crucially, eliminates the life-shortening risk of taking multiple doses of the powerful Hell's Coupon. His Gokudo techniques include Flowers of Romance, a flamethrower attack fueled by methane gas from his intestines and ignited by his teeth; Heaven's Drive, a high-speed continuous attack using all six of his limbs to achieve speeds surpassing ninja perception; and Art of Life, his ultimate technique where he pins an opponent before slamming them into the ground from a great height.
