Description
Daisuke Sato is a supporting character in the anime Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider. He is an adult male with black eyes and black hair that reaches his ears. One of his distinctive physical features is his prominent buck teeth, and he is often seen wearing a jacket. He is one of three loyal underlings who work for Hachiro Nakao, alongside Satoshi Ito and Fukushi Ishige.
Daisuke holds a deep respect for his boss, Nakao, whom he looks up to as a leader and affectionately refers to as his big brother. His personality is defined by this strong sense of loyalty, as he and his fellow subordinates willingly participate in their leader's schemes. True to Nakao's obsession with the terrorist organization from the classic Kamen Rider series, Daisuke and the other two lackeys take part in robberies while dressed as Shocker combatants. In this capacity, his role in the story initially is as a minor antagonist and a member of the fake Shocker group whose actions inadvertently draw the protagonist, Tanzaburo Tojima, into a life of heroism.
As the narrative progresses, the conflict escalates when real members of Shocker appear. Daisuke and his fellow subordinates eventually become actual Shocker combatants themselves. However, the loyalty that defines his relationship with Nakao ultimately plays a crucial role in his development. Nakao's own dedication to his men prevents him from being fully brainwashed by Shocker, leading him into direct conflict with the organization. Nakao later joins forces with the protagonists, and a key part of this alliance is freeing his loyal lackeys, including Daisuke, from their forced servitude as combatants. Beyond his ability to serve as a combatant in a Shocker costume, the series does not detail any other notable or unique abilities for Daisuke Sato.
